CAREGIVER RESOURCES

Trusted Information. Practical Guidance. Compassionate Support.

What Happens When I Request Support?

When you submit a Caregiver Support Request, The Anchored in Care Exchange will review the information you provide to better understand your caregiving situation and the type of assistance you are seeking.

We will determine whether your needs fall within the scope of the Community Care Exchange and whether an appropriate trained volunteer may be available. When needs fall outside our scope, we may help connect families with trusted community resources or organizations when available.

Participating in the Community Care Exchange means becoming part of a reciprocal community care network. The program is designed not only to provide support, but to strengthen a community in which caregivers, volunteers, families, and partners contribute to helping one another.

Care Exchange Hours™

Reciprocity is an important part of the Community Care Exchange. Caregivers who receive support are encouraged, when possible, to contribute 6 Care Exchange Hours™ in support of another caregiving family.

These hours may be completed as two 3-hour visits or three 2-hour visits, providing flexibility for work schedules, family responsibilities, health needs, and other circumstances.

Care Exchange Hours™ are not a requirement for receiving support and are not intended to repay services. Instead, they provide an opportunity for caregivers to become part of a shared community of care by offering their time, compassion, or skills when they are able.

We understand that every caregiving situation is different. Serious illness, significant hardship, demanding caregiving responsibilities, or other circumstances may make participation difficult or impossible. Families may still receive support through the Community Care Exchange Program regardless of their ability to contribute Care Exchange Hours™.
